Built around clients who take IT seriously
Inlight IT was founded in 2018 by Alex Pletnev, who spent the earlier part of his career working on technology architecture before moving into client-facing leadership in managed services. Both sides of that background shape the company. Technology is the discipline; the client relationship is the work.
For Alex, technology has never been something to switch off from. It is what he reads on weekends, and the standard against which the rest of the company is measured. When the founder of an MSP genuinely cares about the engineering, it shows up everywhere: in the quality of architectural decisions, in the discipline of operations, in the calibre of the people the company attracts.

Our growth to date has come almost entirely through client referral. Existing clients have introduced us to others who take their technology seriously, and the work has compounded from there. We mention it because it is the truest description of how the company has been built: on the strength of the relationships behind the work. Operating since 2018, we are ready for that reputation to travel further.
What we bring to that relationship is depth. Across the environment, we act as a single accountable technology partner, connecting support, security, infrastructure, networking, cloud and automation rather than treating each as a separate lane. We offer the breadth of capability enterprise providers bring to large organisations, with the agility, attentiveness and continuity that organisations rarely find at that scale.
In 2026 we established a permanent office in Newcastle. We have supported clients across the Hunter and Central Coast from Sydney for years, and we understand the regional operating context well: distributed sites, lean internal IT teams, the practical realities of operating outside the metro. The Newcastle office formalises a presence we already had, and opens the door for more regional organisations who would prefer an engineering partner that knows the territory.
“Technology is the discipline; the client relationship is the work.”
